In collaboration with Huawei FusionSolar, PT Bukit Asam has implemented a cutting-edge 615 kWp smart micro-grid system, equipped with a 200 kWh battery. This advanced system utilizes solar energy to power mining operations, dramatically reducing carbon emissions and cutting operational costs by up to 50%. At the heart of this solution are the Huawei SUN2000 inverters, which convert solar energy into dependable AC power, enhancing operational efficiency and optimizing energy output.

This initiative aligns with PT Bukit Asam's dedication to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and supports Indonesia's ambition to achieve net-zero emissions by 2060. By harnessing solar power, the system has effectively reduced carbon emissions by 423,000 tons of CO2 annually—equivalent to planting 23,000 trees. Additionally, it has minimized workplace noise and generated employment opportunities within local communities.
