The Mongolian mining industry has long been plagued by power shortages. To address this, the MAK Group introduced Huawei Smart Microgrid Solution, which uses grid-forming energy storage to effectively suppress grid fluctuations. This ensures "non-stop production even during power outages", while significantly improving power supply reliability. Engineered to operate stably even in extreme temperatures down to -40°C, the system substantially reduces power consumption and carbon emissions. Since switching on, the system is projected to lower electricity consumption by 40% - 90% and curb carbon emissions by around 1.53 million tons.
