Dr. Xianming Ye, Associate Professor of the Department of Power Electronics and Computer Engineering at the University of Pretoria, presented the proof of concept (POC) test results for the Huawei LUNA2000-215KWH-S10 Hybrid Cooling Grid Forming ESS at an actual operating site in South Africa. The test results prove that the actual RTE is higher than the 91.3% (0.25CP) specified in the product manual, achieving the highest RTE in the industry. The depth of discharge (DOD) reaches 100%, increasing the lifetime discharge capacity by over 2%. Under the optimal charge and discharge strategy, this solution can save 26.7% of electricity fees for this project in South Africa in winter and 8.3% in summer.
