Huawei Digital Power was recognized with two prestigious awards: Data Centre Facilities Vendor of the Year and Data Centre Power Innovation of the Year

DCS Awards is a flagship event for the data center industry, attracting nearly 100 enterprises each year. At the 15th DCS AWARDS, 38 awards were presented to recognize innovative technologies, successful projects, and outstanding suppliers and individuals in the data center facility and ICT fields.

Winning the "Data Centre Facilities Vendor of the Year" Award for Six Consecutive Years

The intelligent computing era is approaching. As AI models become more prevalent in various industries, the demand for increased computing power is surging. This has led to the accelerated construction of GW-level intelligent computing clusters worldwide. In response, Huawei has proposed the RASTM principles for AI data center construction. Supported by its highly reliable products, extensive global ecosystem, and professional services, Huawei offers all-scenario data center solutions to help customers and partners build a reliable, agile, and sustainable foundation for intelligent computing. This will allow them to seize the opportunities presented by the era.

The rapid development of AI services in the intelligent computing era requires faster rollout of AI data centers. The data center construction period is shortened from 18 to 24 months to 9 to 10 months, and in some cases, even as short as 6 months. Additionally, the power density of servers keeps increasing, posing higher requirements on the power supply of data centers. The traditional power supply and distribution system adopts the assembly mode, which is characterized by a long delivery period and complex onsite installation and commissioning. This makes it difficult to meet the power supply requirements in high-density and high-computing-power scenarios.

Huawei's innovative power supply architecture integrates subsystems such as the UPS, lithium battery, and air conditioner to create an integrated power supply and distribution solution, the FusionPower9000. This helps to build AI data centers that feature fast delivery, flexible capacity expansion, and high reliability.

Fast delivery: Through engineering productization, product modularization, factory prefabrication, and pre-commissioning, the delivery period is shortened from 28 weeks to 18 weeks, meeting the requirements for fast AI service rollout. In addition, the prefabrication rate exceeds 90%, effectively improving the delivery quality.

Flexible capacity expansion: The architecture is fully decoupled to achieve one power system per container. The system is deployed outdoors and supports on-demand deployment and flexible capacity expansion.

High reliability: The entire power supply link is visible, manageable, and controllable. The temperature of copper bars is detected in real time through over 150 measurement points. AI temperature prediction realizes overtemperature warning at low load, turning passive maintenance into predictive maintenance. An ultra-high protection container is used and the power supply and distribution system are decoupled from IT buildings, enabling isolated remote deployment and effectively reducing the impact of faults.

In the data center project in Johor, Malaysia that used Huawei's FusionPower9000, product-based engineering and prefabricated products helped reduce delivery difficulty and shorten the delivery period, implementing integrated and fast deployment of the power supply and distribution system. The TTM was only 10 months, which is 50% faster than the traditional solution, enabling quick rollout of AI services. The project has set a new standard for global intelligent computing center construction.

In the AI era, Huawei will continue to prioritize technological innovation, invest heavily in R&D, and strive for excellence in quality to provide customers and partners with more competitive products and solutions, helping build reliable, agile, and sustainable AI data centers and powering the digital era forward.
