Davao Shines Bright with over 150 attendees at the Huawei Installer Certification Program

On January 31st, 2024, Huawei Digital Power Philippines partnered with Sungrid Energy Corporation, who led an Installer Training and Certification Program in Ballroom 1, Dusit Thani Residences, Davao City, Philippines. Here, over 150 attendees were present, composed of industry leaders, business owners, and technical experts under the solar industry.

The event kicked-off with Chris Qin of Lesso providing a welcome speech and highlighting the significant potential of solar technology in the Davao region. Afterwards, an overview about Tongwei was led by Technical Engineer Fredrich Yang, who highlighted the organization’s roadmap for the PV panels and industry in terms of its future outlooks and current products. An overview of Lesso was then presented by Norman Taclibon, who was able to highlight the potential of solar energy prospects in the Philippines. A speech was then provided by Distribution Director Xiao Jun of Huawei Digital Power Philippines, who was able to highlight three (3) key trends of the solar industry in the Philippines.

An overview of the Huawei Installer Certification and Incentive Program was presented by Solar PV Distribution Business Head Gerard Lim, providing all the necessary information needed in order to become a certified installer. A Product Presentation was then led by PV Product Manager Thor Alvis, who was able to provide an overview on Huawei FusionSolar, upcoming products, Commercial Battery and Microgrid Opportunities, Key Features, and Reference Cases. Lastly, a Technical Presentation was led by Service Manager Jesus Calasara Jr, who was able to provide the technical information regarding Huawei FusionSolar products, the proper procedure when it comes to installation, as well as safety standards and procedures. The event concluded with the Examination Session, where a total of 132 attendees were able to successfully pass and become a Certified Installer under Huawei.

Overall, the event was a great success, as the attendees were constantly engaged in the presentations and were able to display a keen interest towards Huawei’s FusionSolar products, asking valuable questions and sharing relevant insights during the Q&A sessions, as well as inquiring about specifics of the products after seeing its live demonstration units.
