第1期Cambodia 2 GWh Grid-Forming ESS Project By SchneiTec

Cambodia's rapid economic development has driven a significant increase in electricity demand, while the country continues to face challenges related to the green energy transition, and high power supply costs. SchneiTec, one of Cambodia's leading renewable energy developers and investors, has established a strong presence in the local energy market and secured a substantial share of the country's PV+ESS PPA projects. Building on this foundation, SchneiTec partnered with Huawei Digital Power to develop solar farms integrated with Huawei's Smart String Grid-Forming ESS Solution. The project marks the first verified grid-forming initiative in Southeast Asia, setting a regional and global benchmark for the energy transition. Certified testing by TÜV Rheinland confirmed compliance with IEC standards, China's national standards, UK grid codes, and Germany's VDE standards. Huawei's Smart String Grid-Forming ESS Solution supports grid voltage and frequency and responds quickly to voltage fluctuations. This enables greater solar power integration, improves grid stability, and supports Cambodia's growing renewable energy capacity with a more reliable and flexible power system.
